aboutWelcome to Dhammapala The Leeds Theravada Buddhist Group Our group was founded in 1984 as the Leeds Theravada Buddhist Group by lay supporters of the Theravada Monastery at Harnham, which lies some 15 miles north-west of Newcastle. In 1986 our name was changed to Dhammapala Buddhist Group (meaning guardians or protectors of the Teachings). |
